Meet the team at Suncoast Dental Litchfield Park!
Dr. Wu represents our Litchfield Park office. You will find Dr. Wu is available every day but Thursday and Sunday for our patients. Our goal is to allow for your dental experience at Suncoast Dental to be as comfortable as possible. We believe half of the battle is knowing our team a little better before you visit us.
Below you’ll find out a bit about our doctor. Shortly we’ll be adding fun stuff about each team member.
Dr. Chia Wu is originally from Taiwan. Her parents moved to the U.S. when she was at a very young age and so she grew up in southern California. She attended Revelle College at the University of California, San Diego where she received her B.S. in Physiology and Neuroscience in the beautiful town of La Jolla, CA. It was at UCSD where she volunteered as as an assistant at a free dental clinic run by pre-dental students to help those less fortunate to receive dental care. It was here that she developed her passion for dentistry and pursued her D.M.D from Temple University, Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA. She is a firm believer in being educated at the utmost level to provide the best care for her patients, so she received further education in the care of patients with complex medical conditions and advanced dental restorative problems at a two-year general practice New York Hospital of Queens in Flushing, NY. This residency also gave training in a variety of other areas of dentistry including oral surgery, periodontics (gum health), pedodontics (child dentistry), endodontics (root canal therapy), and implant dentistry.
Even now, she continues to take many comprehensive continuing education courses, focusing mostly on cosmetic and restorative dentistry and occlusion to make sure her patients are not only receiving the most up to date quality care but also are receiving the education they need to know about their oral health conditions. She receives her continuing education by being a member of various dental organizations, including, the Arizona Dental Association, Academy of General dentistry, Central Arizona Dental Society, and the American Dental Association.
After living in the harsh northeastern winters for six years, Dr. Wu is now enjoying herself in sunny Arizona. When she is not doing dentistry, she enjoys cooking various types of ethnic foods, traveling to faraway countries, working out at the gym, and most importantly, spending time with her husband, Brandon, whom she recently got married to.
Dr. Wu makes sure that all new and existing patients feel at home, and make sure she and her staff are meeting every individual’s needs. She looks forward and is very excited to meet you!
